BACKBONE
A selection of paintings of areas near my home which I was drawn to because of their particular physical resonance. After a recovering from a shoulder injury I can now return to the series. Many of these places have been redeveloped in the years since I last sketched and painted there.
The word ‘backbone’ links the structure of a building to the human body and spirit.
